I came across Kinetic v5 zine styled website for a Singapore based creative agency. I love how the printed format has been translated so well into digital. It’s quirky, playful & fun, just what you would expect from a hand-generated photocopied small run fanzine. As you explore the site you discover little random bits of information linked throughout like a 1990′s infomercial for GLH Spray on hair. The sound is just as random so make sure it’s turned on when you visit.

PRISMA1666 by Super Nature Design collaborating with Wonwei, is a light interactive installation inspired by Sir Isaac Newton’s famous optics and colour experiments in 1666. The installation consists of 15 triangular crystal blocks distributed randomly on a clean white surface. Projection of colorful graphics is refracted and dispersed by these crystal blocks, creating a fascinating visual experience and performance. The installation enables interaction with the projected colors, angles, and shapes through a touch interface, creating an opportunity to experiment with these elements like Isaac Newton did.

Motion plus design is a project aiming to found the world’s first Centre dedicated to the world of motion design in Paris, France. The goal is to engage and educate the public about what Motion Design is and engage the Motion Design community to share their knowledge and to increase recognition of the field on the world stage that is comparable to the creative explosion that has occurred in recent years thanks to digital technology. They have created this fantastic video to help clearly define what motion graphics is and hallmarks some of the best examples since the artforms inception. Definitely worth viewing

I came across the amazing chalk lettering by graphic designer and now full time chalk letterist (doubt thats a word?) Dana Tanamachi from Brooklyn, NYC. She has done some beautiful pieces for clients like Ralph Lauren, Google, Adidas as well as many others. Her work makes me wish i played with the chalkboard a little more when I was young. I also appreciate the amount of time it must take to do each one of these custom pieces. Check out the time lapse videos of Dana’s work at the bottom.

Etsuko Ichikawa creates what she calls Pyrographs by drawing with hot molten glass which scorches the paper creating an ephemeral path of movement and heat.

“I see this process as a metaphor of my daily life in terms of encounters and impressions relating directly to my work. Meeting someone, seeing some event, hearing a piece of music – these encounters are fleeting moments, but sometimes the impressions of these moments take on their own lives.”

Just came across this ad for a Samsung phone which I thought was pretty cool and very relevant to the product. The awesome Finger Tutting is by Jay Funk a Los Angeles based choreographer. Don’t mind the motion graphics either!
